SV	Gij zegt: Zie, gij hebt de Edomieten geslagen; daarom heeft uw hart u verheven, om te roemen; nu, blijf in uw huis; waarom zoudt gij u in het kwaad mengen, dat gij vallen zoudt; gij en Juda met u?
WLC	אָמַ֗רְתָּ הִנֵּ֤ה הִכִּ֙יתָ֙ אֶת־אֱדֹ֔ום וּנְשָׂאֲךָ֥ לִבְּךָ֖ לְהַכְבִּ֑יד עַתָּה֙ שְׁבָ֣ה בְּבֵיתֶ֔ךָ לָ֤מָּה תִתְגָּרֶה֙ בְּרָעָ֔ה וְנָ֣פַלְתָּ֔ אַתָּ֖ה וִיהוּדָ֥ה עִמָּֽךְ׃
Trans.	’āmarətā hinnēh hikîṯā ’eṯ-’ĕḏwōm ûnəśā’ăḵā libəḵā ləhaḵəbîḏ ‘atâ šəḇâ bəḇêṯeḵā lāmmâ ṯiṯəgāreh bərā‘â wənāfalətā ’atâ wîhûḏâ ‘immāḵə:

AC	יט אמרת הנה הכית את אדום ונשאך לבך להכביד עתה שבה בביתך--למה תתגרה ברעה ונפלת אתה ויהודה עמך
ASV	Thou sayest, Lo, thou hast smitten Edom; and thy heart lifteth thee up to boast: abide now at home; why shouldest thou meddle to [thy] hurt, that thou shouldest fall, even thou, and Judah with thee?
BE	You say, See, I have overcome Edom; and your heart is lifted up with pride: now keep in your country; why do you make causes of trouble, putting yourself, and Judah with you, in danger of downfall?
Darby	Thou thinkest, Lo, thou hast smitten Edom; and thy heart has lifted thee up to boast: abide now at home; why shouldest thou contend with misfortune, that thou shouldest fall, thou and Judah with thee?
ELB05	Du sagst: Siehe, du hast Edom geschlagen! und dein Herz erhebt sich, dir Ruhm zu erwerben. Bleibe nun in deinem Hause; warum willst du dich mit dem Unglück einlassen, daß du fallest, du und Juda mit dir?
LSG	Tu as battu les Edomites, penses-tu, et ton coeur s'élève pour te glorifier. Reste maintenant chez toi. Pourquoi t'engager dans une malheureuse entreprise, qui amènerait ta ruine et celle de Juda?
Sch	Du aber denkst, du habest die Edomiter geschlagen, und dein Herz verführt dich zum Stolz. Bleibe du jetzt daheim! Warum willst du das Schicksal herausfordern, daß du zu Fall kommst und Juda mit dir?
